The All Inclusive / Digital Direct program is a textbook model in collaboration with publishers that converts books into digital content. All students enrolled in a class purchase the content, lowering the cost for everyone.

The goals of this program are to (1) provide students with more affordable course materials, (2) improve educational outcomes for students and enhance the student experience on a common digital platform via Moodle, and (3) position Bethel University to be ahead of the curve with digital content.

The Process:

  • Students will be sent an email, by the professor, before classes begin with instructions on how to access their digital course material content. Access to the content is through Moodle and available by the first day of class.
  • Access to the content is via Moodle and available by the first day of class.
  • Students enjoy a free trail with access to the content during the first 10 days after the semester start.
  • If you, the student, choose not to participate in All Inclusive / Digital Direct product(s), you must “opt-out” of the program materials by the 10th day after the semester start. Click here to see the opt-out power point. **Keep in mind that by opting out, you may be losing access to material critical to your success in class.
  • After the 10th day of the semester start, your Bethel student account will be charged for those All Inclusive / Digital Direct product(s) you have kept access to.

All Inclusive / Digital Direct FAQ

The All Inclusive / Digital Direct program is a new textbook model in collaboration with publishers that converts books into digital content. All students enrolled in a class purchase the content, lowering the cost for everyone. All students in that class also get access to the content on the first day of class. After the 10th day of the semester start, your Bethel student account will be charged for those All Inclusive / Digital Direct product(s) you have kept access to. The digital content also includes Interactive Learning Platforms.

Interactive Learning Platforms are much more than e-books. They are interactive software platforms developed by the publishers to provide an enhanced learning experience beyond reading the text. They may include multi-media video and audio presentations, adaptive quizzes and homework which link directly to the text. They also allow for various levels of customization by the instructor and peer-to-peer sharing of notes.

The price varies depending upon the course materials chosen by the instructor, but All Inclusive / Digital Direct is priced below market price.

If your instructor is using All Inclusive / Digital Direct, you are already enrolled. You will be notified via email prior to the start of class with access instructions, the discounted pricing, and information on opting out.

The access is free for the first 10 days after the semester start. After the 10th day of the semester start, all enrolled students who have not dropped out of or opted out of the course will be billed to their Bethel student account.

If you do not wish to participate in All Inclusive / Digital Direct, you have the first 10 days after the semester start to opt-out of the program. If you opt-out by the deadline given, access to the online content will be turned off and your Bethel student account will not be billed. If you have any questions about opting out, please contact [email protected]
